Texas ASBPA Chapter Board Member Rhonda Cummins from Calhoun County thought our members would be interested in attending the below workshop being held in Victoria on “Green Water Stormwater Infrastructure”, June 21.

Looks like a great program.

Jerry Mohn
President

Join us for a workshop on Green Stormwater Infrastructure, Wednesday, June 21, 9am3pm, at the Victoria Educational Gardens Pavilion, 283 Bachelor Drive, Victoria, TX 77904.

Learn about natural techniques for cleansing and conserving stormwater for people and wildlife: rain gardens, rain water harvesting, environmentally friendly landscapes, stormwater wetlands, large scale wetland restoration, and other green stormwater solutions.  Our streams and bays are greatly impacted by the quality of the stormwater flowing into them, and now is a great time to start improving it with practices we can implement at any scale–from backyard to community to region. (View the flyer.)

The workshop is open to professionals in industry, municipalities, contracting, education and other agencies, and anyone with an interest in water quality improvements. There is no cost to attend but registration is required by 6/20. Lunch is included with registration. To register, visit tcwp.tamu.edu/event/

Read more about the workshop in a recent Victoria Advocate article:
