The meeting in Matagorda on July 26 exposed all of us to a real paradise along the Texas Coast. The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) facility was ideal for this idyllic setting. In addition, we had a delicious luncheon prepared by Buddy’s Seafood with local grilled shrimp and fried oysters and we were treated to mustard potato salad.

I would like to encourage all members to please make every effort to attend the ASBPA Fall Conference in South Padre from October 22 to 24 at the Isla Grand Beach Resort.

This conference is in Texas and we as Texans really need to support South Padre’s effort in having this conference. The GLO is quite involved with the conference and the keynote speaker will be Commissioner Jerry Patterson. Again, please make an effort and please invite your associates and friends to attend.
