We hope you plan to attend the fabulous Texas ASBPA Chapter luncheon meeting on August 5, one week from today, at the San Luis Hotel & Spa & Conference Center at 5222 Seawall Blvd, Galveston, TX.  Map and Directions:  http://www.sanluisresort.com/location.asp  Free parking behind the San Luis off Fort Crockett Blvd.

Please see the agenda for the meeting and you will see we have a really great event planned with outstanding presentations and speakers.  The food is spectacular so come hungry and hear from the new Galveston District Army Corp Commander, Col. Lars Zetterstrom, and also hear about the important Texas Coastal Study, as well as an update on the “Ike Dike” study, and then the recent sand nourishment project on Galveston dedicated to former State Senator “Babe” Schwartz.  The Galveston U.S. Army Corp of Engineers District is so important to the Texas Chapter and the last three years we held partnering and collaborating meetings with them.

The luncheon buffet will start at 11:30 AM so please come to the Convention Center around 11:15 AM so you have a chance to see the displays and mingle.  We have 4 great luncheon sponsors so there is no charge as well as no registration so please come and please bring your associates and friends.

In addition, spend the weekend because Galveston Island is an old historic city with plenty of attractions and fabulous beaches, hotels, and restaurants. Please check: http://www.galveston.com/ in what is going on all over the island.

Please RSVP and please advise if you are bringing any associates or guests with you.
